I would be interested to know if you think it makes much difference when you fit it.

Is your car a classic or newage?

I have a set of 4 CDF lightweight pulleys fitted and they do make quite a difference to the engine performance.

The crankshaft pulley makes the biggest difference, in fact I belive that with the weight saving on just this pulley it is like removing around 90kgs of unsprung weight from the car (there is a theory to it but can't remember what it is).

The revs pick up a lot quicker than when using the standard pulleys and it is really noticeable on the road. The finish is brilliant and for what they cost they are one of the cheapest and most effective modifications you can do to an Impreza.

As long as you go for CDF pulleys you won't go wrong, I haven't tried any others but I can tell you that the CDF ones are very well made and outstanding value for money.

I had all the belts inc timing belt done at the same time, from memory it was crankshaft, alternator, air con idler pulley and the pulley (can't remember what to call it) on the o/s of the engine. The alternator is the worst one to do as you have to remove the alternator, use an airgun or similar to loosen the nut.

Prices are £155 delivered for members. This is the three piece kit .
Crank, alternator and powersteering - made to suit each model.

We do the fourth pulley which sits under the aircon which is £25 - this is the aircon tensioner pulley

I have most of these in stock in Blue, black, red, orange, green and sliver. Unfortunatly we don't run group buys on them as we have too many dealers for them in the Uk and it will mess up our trade orders.

However, the price is very good compared to other brands - ours are the only pulleys the usa rally teams use on there cars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YedWNZvpx2I
