Default Subaru impreza heated mirrors ?

Hi guys, can anyone tell me if the heated door mirrors on a 2001 WRX impeza are automatic ? I have only had the car a few weeks and noticed that in the morning when I go to work and the mirrors are damp with dew sometimes they clear and I can feel the heat in the glass but other days they don't and the glass stays cold? Any help appreciated

It does say in the manual that they were an optional extra, but it don't say how to use them if you have them installed?

Press rear demist button, if they are heated in 30 secs you should feel it, if not then you wont.
Dont know any car with heated mirrors that doesnt use the rear demist button

I think mine has them, realised this when it snowed last and it all melted off.. would probably work with the rear demist I can check for you later if you like.
