Default Seized Turbo - import same as UK?

So my turbo does appear to be seized so can anyone tell me my import WRX (N Reg) is it different to UK ones? What turbo do I need? I would like a good condition second hand one.

These are the numbers off the turbo...
14412AA092

49178 - 08310

7 DO5H

Thanks.

you have TD05 and the UK cars have a smaller TD04

You would need a TDO5, plenty on ebay/breakers around the £150-250 or you can have your reconned/exchanged for around £500

Heres one that might be worth a look at:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/subaru-tdo5-bi...es_CarParts_SM

The seller has 100% feedback so you may pick up a bargain. I bought this last week and if the seller had advertised it correctly it would have sold for £130 - £150:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Lucky me an afterburner vortex in A1+ condition for £50 ,its just knowing where to look

Was the turbo on the MY93-96 UK Impreza not a 90 deg entry TD04?

The difference between the MY93-96 TD05 and the MY97> TD05 is that the 93-96 TD05 is 90 deg entry and the 97> is straight entry.

Cheers Iain

Also there never was a TD05H (16g) for MY97>on cars.

The only TD turbo fitted to a MY97>on Classics was the TD04L front entry... and that was only on UK Turbo 2000 cars.

Ok smarty pants keep your hair on. I was actually pointing out that the difference between the TD 05 turbos on ebay that was questioned earlier would be as described above.
(TD05 turbos for MY97> Imprezas are readily available from many sources)

I have not seen a pre 97 UK car ever so I always assumed due to the low power output that they were the 90 deg intake TD04 but I happily stand corrected.

Cheers Iain

There was no reference to your post re. aftermarket front entry TD05H turbos, so I couldn't have possibly known that's what you were referring to. Plus, your post simply didn't read like that anyhow.

My hair's well and truly 'on', btw.
