Horrible Engine Noise - Link provided
my engine is making an awful sound - started on Tuesday night - checked oil and was a bit low but nothing drastic. Have only done about 15-20 miles and got much worse today and now it's making the noise in the video...
Does that sound like my bottom end gone..?!!!

File does work.
It's impossible to tell from that video whereabouts on the engine the noise is coming from, and the microphone/sound compression alters the character of the sound too so it's very difficult to tell what's up. If you're lucky it could be a screwed alternator bearing/aircon pump but it certainly sounds rather terminal. If you're not skilled/confident enough to do some basic troubleshooting yourself, a phonecall to a local specialist, or, given the oil cap, API, tomorrow, is probably your next best move.

Noise is a scratching/scraping sound from the inside the black casing of the engine down on the lower right of the bay... was very periodic on until this morning and not very loud - but took a turn for the worse this PM.

Have you checked your coolant level (in the header tank, on the inlet manifold)? If you're able to localise the noise to the area you suggest, water pump would be one possibility, as would timing belt tensioner, but prepare yourself for it to be worse, and that way you'll either get what you expect, or a pleasant surprise.
