Default Quietest Backbox??

Does anyone know what the quietest stainless steel backbox would be for a newage Blob WRX?

I'm after an upgrade to the double barrel peashooter but I can't stand any extra noise from the backbox and want it as quiet as possible, at least as quiet as the standard part....

Prodrive more than likely, they come up quite often in for sale section as folk who want more noise remove them.

Prodrive - which is the natural upgrade to the std backbox, subtle rumble on tickover, rising to a nice growl as the revs rise imho. Sti backbox is quieter than prodrive one but only the tip is stainless steel

You could have one made to any design or sound you want from most exhaust fabricator's, and be cheaper than you think.

Understand you will have reasons you want your car quieter, but the sound was one of the reasons i bought my car.Even though i own a Scooby,i still rush to the window when i hear one go by.

Baffles or stuffing pulled out?
I've got a spare std box to go on our Forester hack. A little more growl might be amusing.

I was in a similar position and went for the scoobyworld afterburner resonated mid section (2.5") and a prodrive backbox (also 2.5" i think). I've also got the scoobyworld "100 cell sports cat" downpipe and a rear decat.

Sound-level wise it is just a little, little bit louder than standard, which I really like.

When you say the sti ,backbox can be modified, can you explain as the picture shows the same sti backbox that i had ,only painted black ,unless is a genome, but that is normally stamped on the tailpipe.

+1 for the prodrive back box.

I have one on my 05 Sti and it's nowhere near as vocal as my old turbo2k was with a hayward & scott cat-back system (I'll be swapping it for a full miltek system soon)

It's almost quieter at full throttle than it is just pootling around the streets.

Gary.
