My similar spec MY00 UK Classic was mapped to 1.3 bar. The standard clutch wont last too long at this boost level and this is about the limit for the standard gearbox. Steve.

Your ecu cant be remapped. It will need an aftermarket ecu such as simtek or Syvecs.

I am often over in Norwich and Lowestoft mapping for members of scoobycity.co.uk who are mostly east Anglian based. I am cambs.

You sure it can be remapped being as it's 1998 ? It's usually 99 onwards.
Assuming of course you mean the ECUTEK remap.
If not, I'll shut up.

MY99 (Sep 98>on) onwards can (EcuTeK).

It's MY98, and MY97, (Sep 96 to Aug 98) that can't at this precise moment. Need Apexi PFC, Simtek or Syvvecs.

ESL Live allegedly 'on the brink'....

*cough* Manual Boost Controller *cough*
Fuel Cut Defencer on a 98 UK Spec MAF/MAP setup will kick in at 1.2 Bar...
...so as long as you dont turn it up beyond a Bar (as it will spike to 1.1Bar) you should be fine.

UK engines arent the strongest though, so take care
