Default Remap

Reverting back to original airbox tomorrow after buying 05 JDM sti with rubbish caik. Car will probally have to be mapped again .I,m running 1.2 bar at present on standard twin scroll with full decat. Does anyone think I should use this opportunity to have the boost turned up on my new map. Car has 50,000 mls on it, uses no oil and has a mechanically quiet engine. Thanks Steve.

Thanks Dynamix. What boost would you recommend for performance/ reliability? I dont thrash my cars as I work in the engineering trade (shipyard) so I have plenty of mechanical sympathy.

Persdonally I would leave it to the mapper to decide what the engine is happy to make. Boost isnt always the answer for power and more isnt always good.

Who is mapping it ?

I,ve reverted back to the standard airbox now with a K&N panel filter. I was having a problem with the car almost stalling at times which turned out to be caused by the crap CAIK which was fitted when I bought the car,but the idle is fine now. Steve of Dynodemon supplied and fitted the parts and tweeked the map to suit.He decided on 1.4 bar boost. With only a full decat it made 350 FT/ LBS of torque on a warm morning. Thanks to Steve and Gemma for the good job and the coffee.BeforeAfter
