Watertemp at the track
Today I was at our small track in Austria, topspeed is around 140km/h.
We had 20min. turns and I had to see the stock tempgauge going upwards during the first attempt after 15min. hard driving.
It was very warm, 30°C and the log of my Apexi PFC showed a maximum of 113°C watertemp, as far I could see the oil was around 120°C (but the gauge is not working perfectly).
I have a FMIC and thought of installing a oilcooler soon, but due to the watertemp raising that high, I donīt like the idea of blocking the cooler with another item...
I took it easy when the watertemp went up again and drove 1-2 slower rounds to cool down again and then drove it hard again.
I boosted only 1.3bar max and tappered to 1.1bar at the revlimit.
I didnīt want to destroy my engine for nothing!
What watertemps do you see at the track?

The only time I ever saw my temp rise was when my head gasket blew!
And as you said, after the gasket went, she'd overheat even when driving easy!!
The intercooler wont keep your engine cool! just your charge temps!
Oil cooler is a great idea,
I hope she's alright for you man!

I doubt you drove your car hard in such a hot weather like it was yesterday, but I do not know!
Near every car had to take some slow rounds to bring back the temps to normal.
I hope there is no damage too, but when driving out on the streets and take it easy it cooled down within seconds!
And no raise of the watertemp on my drive home on the autobahn at all!

It was just for some seconds due to the extreme heat.
I think the FMIC blocks off some place of the waterradiator and thatīs why the watertemperature got that high.
No problems and no rise in temp on my way home and as well not on the way to the dragstrip today...
