Default Switch it to 0.5 bar.

I have a chipped 95 wrx.
At the moment I have a switch to run it on the chip or the standard ecu, this gives me 16psi or 13 psi of boost.
Is it possible to make it run on less boost like actuator pressure 7psi at the flick of a switch.
Thanks.

You will be able to set the boost if you buy a boost control. standard actuator boost depends on the model of car, but norm is 7 PSI

Thanks but I dont want to fit a boost controller. The standard one does a mighty fine job itself, also if there was a problem with the car it would drop the boost on the standard setup.

Just my short knowledge, but the boost is controlled in the map and config of the ECU, so I think you are switching from a standard map to Aux map on the on-board chip. 13 PSI is about standard as I read it, so the other map is the 16 PSI. That said then without a third map (Dont think this is poss on an ESL board) then you only have two poss boost levels.

just two wires from switch to the boost solenoid.. cut the black wire on the boost solenoid and connect the switch to either end.

see about 8psi.. depending on actuator strength.. bit pointless though when you have the two already

it will possibly error code yes.. or the switch will add enough resistence to the line that the ecu won't realise.. may play around a bit

Is this likely to put it into limp home mode with a restriction of revs.
The reason I want to do this is to slow my mrs down abit and save fuel, to be honest a 3psi drop just isnt enough in either case as its still about 260bhp.

Thanks JGM.
