Standard specification of MY05 WRX STI 09?
Good Afternoon,
I have searched but can't seem to find a good specification of all the equipment that came with a wrx sti MY 05 (version 9), air con, eleccy windows etc!! standard equipment list etc!
Does anyone have one? Do they have HID headlights as standard?
Thanks,

UK or JDM?
(there are differences in market varients, thats one of the reasons you dont use versions but the JDM or japanese domestic market car is of a higher specification).

MY05 Type UK, No HID.
As 04 but Wider Track, Larger Wheel PCD, Improved Dash, Window Switch alterations, DCCD, Different Steering Wheel, Rear Arch Extensions.
Oh and:
A larger intercooler and air intake help keep things from meltdown. A drivers control centre differential (DCCD) is fitted as standard to the Type UK and its an interesting gadget. Operated via a switch mounted adjacent to the handbrake, the DCCD allows the driver to manually adjust the front/rear torque split, changing the handling balance of the car to suit a particular condition. When the ignition is switched off, the system reverts to an automatic setting.
The addition of a yaw-rate sensor and a front helical limited slip-differential reduces the amount of torque steer under hard acceleration and improves driver confidence when cornering. The suspension has been heavily revised with virtually every component changed, from mounts to front and rear links, springs, dampers and anti roll bars. The caster angle has been raised and the rear track and wheelbase altered as well to offer more stable straightline running yet retaining sharp turn-in. Even the front axle hub units and housings have been refettled while the steering gearbox has been remounted to offer more precision and better feedback.

MICAWRX,
you say no HID on the MY05 STI, yet just looking at the brochure it specs the sti as having high intensity discharge (HID) low beam and multi reflector halogen high beam headlights, do you know which is they way to go?

BTW, my VIN begins with '5' which means it's an MY05 car. I inquired with Subaru, they confirmed it was manufactured in 2005 so the cross over must've been early 05 rather than end of 04.

Wouldnt have been, the MY05 cars would have been produced around august 2004, so you have a car that has either had the hubs changed or is a 2004 model, but all the 2005 STI's have the wider track and larger pcd

...but all the Type UK MY05's I have seen have conventional lamps...
I know mine was as I had the lights apart to detango and paint black.
Now, you can get a 55 plate Hawkeye, which may have HID's... so that is an 05 car.. but MY06
Is the brochure on line? can you link to it?

towards the bottom of the page! the car that i am looking at the owner says it has HID lights fitted, but i cannot see washer jets for them which i thought were standard requirements for HID lights in england....

Sorry for bringing this one back from July but i just wanted to clarify something
A car registered in late 2004 'could' be a MY05 car
and similarly
A car registered in early 2005 'could' be a MY04 car?
Just that i have seen 05reg cars with no rear arch moulding, but a 54reg car with them, it doesnt seem to make sense unless the above is true.
Cheers,
Chris

My jdm car was built august 2004 hence on an 04 plate, but is a my05 with arch extentions and other improvements, was main reason I was concerned when viewing as never seen an 04 plate my05 before, presume they where built earlier for japanese market. Also seen some 54 plate jdm's that are my04, so must have had a large crossover period. I had an hid kit on my 03wrx was good and a lot better than stock, but not as good as the jdm hid lights.
