Default Replacing Injectors

Hi just wanted some information about changing over the Fuel injectors on my classic WRX? Ive got to the stage where ive removed the fuel injector caps and can see the top of the old grey injectors.

However when i try to pull them out they are "PROPER" stuck dont budge a MM never mind an inch. I didnt want to damage them so left it there, just wondering if I need any tools to take them off, or need to do something with regards to fuel pressure, fuel rail etc?

Cheers

you need to either take the manifold off or the fuel rails complete so you can get to the injector face and push from that side and pull from the top at the same time, after many years the o rings get dry and stick to the fuel rail housing,if you just keep pulling the plastic on the top of the injector will break and take off the fuel lines as when you release the injecters the rails keep leaking fuel and you'll fill up your cylinders hope this helps mate.

Cheers Mate, I'll try taking the fuels rails off and see if they come out that way.

Spray some WD40 fluid onto the injector/fuel rail mating surfaces may reduce your stress as well. Good luck.

Not tried yet, i use the car to commute to work so going to wait until the weekend and take off the fuel rails, SHOULD make it much easier to take out. I'll let you know how I get on.
