Engine removal help please ... v urgent

Default Engine removal help please ... v urgent

ok so today ive been trying to remove a engine for the 1st time with the help of friend from a 95 wrx jdm but are struggling to remove the engine from the gearbox although what my friend is saying is that the thrust fairing is not releaseing from the pressure plate,, im sure you can tell who the pro is
hopfully this make sense ... please please please need HELP and if i havent explained well enough please just say and i will get the right info to you !!

If you look at the gearbox on the passengers side on the side theres a allen key headed insert nut that you take out and then withdraw the long bush that the clutch fork rotates on fella then that allows the fork to come forward with the box to allow you to release the engine of the box,and you'll need to screw abolt up the centre of the bush[theres a thread init] to draw it out

mate thank you so much for the info was struggling for ages to get it out but with no joy,, back on the case tomoro am to get it sorted .....

not aproblem fella thats what the forums for,the allen key insert can take abit to brake the lock but make shore u dont round her out cause without taking that bush out you wont get the engine of the box mate

you can use one of the bolts from the timing belt cover to pull out the insert

I Have been unfortunate and snapped the M6x1.0mm bolt twice in the clutch fork pin (this is behind the 10mm ally key bung), i now have a pack of bolts specifically for this use as its a pain to drill out and tap in situ.

For some reason i always got the cars where the box had never been seperated from the engine grrr....

Oh and never screw the bolt in more than 4 or 5 threads, try wiggling out with your hand, if it wont budge use a set of grips on the bolt and pull it out...dont keep threading the bolt as a mate of mine snapped his by thinking he needed to thread the bolt right through.
