Default Cigarette Lighter not working

Recently bought my sti and tried to charge my iphone but there seems to be no power getting to unit, the push in lighter doesnt push in or my charger wont power up. I've looked at the fuse (according to the manual) and it doesnt seem broken so I'm a bit lost as to what to do next, any help would be much appreciated thanks

You need to get to the rear and use a circuit tester/multimeter to check if it has a live supply AND a decent earth path.

ALSO: don't assume a fuse IS OK just because it LOOKS OK, test it.

This may be no help, but on a classic, you can get at it by removing the radio/CD.

Mine's just spring-clipped into place, so maybe lever out with a screwdriver, but use padding, (folded paper towel), under the tip agianst any trim
