Question Facelift bonnet fo classic

Just a quickie is the facelift bonnet same from 1997-2000 ie v3-v6 cause im wanting to update to v6 front end! So if I get a bonnet from a v4 this will work with a v6 grille

Thanks in advance

Yep, v.3-6 facelift bonnets exactly the same. Can fit either the flatter v.3/4 grille with the diamond mesh, or the protruding v.5/6 one with the honeycomb mesh. Both fit the same way.

You have a 1996. Is that a late phase 1 MY96, or an early phase 1.5 MY97?

If the former, and if you fit the facelift MY97-00 bonnet/grille, then you really need the squarer inner-edged facelift headlights too, so that it don't look gash where facelift bonnet/grille meet up with the lights (as it would if you retained the phase 1 lights).

Well i think its late phase 1 bud, it had the rounded headlights in but i have updated the headlights to a set of crystals that have a really square edge by the grille so me thinks these are from a v5/6, got a v6 grille! just need a bonnet now lol!

Oh you're good to go then!

Yep, the clear crystal, square edged ones are indeed the v.5/6 ones (but pattern-wise same as the frosted v.3/4 ones too). So the bonnet/grille will be a perfect fit with them. Cool.
