Default more p1 problems - not pulling at all

I posted a thread a few days ago, cars struggling with no power then eventually died.

Ive just been back to the garage, the P1 just had an uprated fuel pump (walbro). U start it and it seems fine. When i took it on the road the car just wouldnt pull after 2500 revs. It would drive but struggle to pull in any gear.

Went back to the garage, changed the maf, took it out again. It pulls in first but only up to 6000 revs then starts struggling, 2nd all the way up is even worse. Its just not boosting.

Any ideas? Its a strange one

There are any number of potential causes for this sort of thing. Have you taken this to a garage that actually knows Imprezas, and has diagnostic kit that will read them? If not, the obvious next move would be to find a good local specialist.

What about on-road diagnosis? Have they actually analysed/logged the engine's behaviour, or just checked for errors?

It can be many things such as boost pipe etc. Best thing to do is book it in for a Dyno to see whats actually happening.

sounds like fuel problem, new pump takes extra power, check pump voltage, could be bad earth, relay.Put old pump back in see if problem still there. When fuel supply gets short the ecu will alter air /fuel to keep it within parameters,no fuel poor performance
