Default Chipped?

right was having a look today to see whats up with car as thought i needed a chip as at high revs in 3rd plus the car seems to cut ont when flooring it revs drop to 0 or the car judders and usualy backfires and kicks out flames

i have a look at my ecu wjich is a z4 and looks like it has a chip in

the chip is probably why it is hitting fuel cut.

What boost is it hitting?

the boost gage fitted is a bit hit and miss sometimes 1.5 and ive seen it as high as 2.0

genraly i would say it hits the 1.5 mark

Thats way too high either way.

Are you sure the boost guage is plumbed in right?

i belive so i think its the chip, as ive only just got car a local garage gave it a look over and recommened i go to subaru specilist they know he took it for a spin and said it needs an ecu or a chip, he checked rest of car and said its fine.

would you say its the chip cauing the problems? if so what would you suggest?

It really needs mapping for what is one the car rather than a random chip which may or may not be safe.

It will not work with removing the chip as it will need resistor J1 rejoining.
