K-Sport brakes apparently have good stopping power, maybe check them out.

Thanks,
Sam

Brembo breaks what?

Brembo brakes are superior to the WRX 4 pots, but there are better brakes out there. K-Sport are good & in your price bracket. The Brembo's are tricky when it comes to wheel choice, standard STI wheels fit over them, but WRX wheels won't.

330mm K-Sports should fit under a min. 17" alloys

356mm under a min. 18".

If you also splash out c.£260 on the PF 01 pads, then the set-up will be pretty bloomin' effective...

The original style 15-spoke OZ Super-T alloys suit the Classic the best IMO ^^^. After all, they're a faithful replica of the works Impreza WRC99/00 alloys (albeit in 17", rather than 18", form).

Sorry, back on topic...

Thanks,
Sam

The standard pads are awful.
Drove 2 cars equiped with K Sport 332BBK back to back, one on the stock pads, the other had some Ds2500 in them.
Night and day tbh.

Interesting to see how the pads work on Brembo's or Alcon's, if they were to fit that is.

Thanks

ive just upgraded my07 wrx to brembos and find them slightly better but im still at the bedding in stage,

i had the standard 4 pots, with braktech discs and mintex 1155 on front with braided pipes and thought they were excellent but then picked up the bremos for a price i coudlnt refuse,

have got them fitted with the discs and kevlar pads from ian godney and they look great but im just waiting till next month then fitting pf pads.

I fitted sti brembos on my wrx and picked up a set of sti alloys, after selling my own stuff it cost me short of £500 including new discs and pads, I even ended up with far better tyres, it all sepends what you want really, the brembos are a massive improvement, but I can't comment on the k sports as never had them
