Rad Crack Bug JDM
Hello, i have a crack on the top plastic on my rad
, its about 2-3cm and when the system pressurize up it just fires out the coolant!
Anyone know of anybody who could fix it? or should i have a go at it? could it be plastic welded? or do i just get a new one?
Its a 2000 bug JDM spec, also i'm based in the north west (Preston) does anyone know any good places to get it fixed?
Thanks Kev

http://www.discount-cooling.co.uk/Radiators_D80335.html I think this is the one you want, I bought a radiator for my classic from there and would recommend them.
If you really want to try repair it, try metal glue round the split and the outlying area. It might work - it might not.
I did this to a large rad hose on an R5 GT turbo and, amazingly, it held up for the remainder of the years I had the car...

I'm guna buy a new one for the price i think, seen a few prices on ebay and that and theres a local place round my way so i'm guna bell them tomorrow. There not to expensive either which i'm happy about and it took like 10min to remove haha! Miles easier to work on than the previous french crap i have had before!
Yeah, best course of action for long term piece of mind.
A lot of dudes have bought this:-
Classic Subaru Impreza Turbo radiator
Next day delivery, cheap, guarantee, refund, etc...

Don't bother trying to repair it. Aside from the fact that the repair is likely to let you down at the worst possible moment, a 9/10 year old rad is a candidate for elective replacement anyway.
And no, a rad that fits a classic will not drop into a newage. Think you will find new newage rads from the same sort of sellers for the same sort of money though.

Oops sorry mate, didn't concentate on the fact you had a New Age.
But yeah, if you search "impreza radiator", select "lowest price inc p&p", then trawl through until you find a similar product as in the link, but for a New Age instead...
