Default Exhaust heatshields

My heatshield on the manifold has seen much better days, does anyone know how much they are new? is there anywhere i can get them from other than main dealer?

Car is a MY00 uk turbo

Just use heat wrap, better and also cheaper.

on standard manifold? i have been told this can cause cracking?

Never heard of that, i have standard manifolds ported and wrapped by Harvey, been A ok for the last 4 years and still going strong

will need to remove it to wrap it properly i take it? bolts look like fun to get off!!

More than likely if you want to do a proper job, wire brush them like crazy and spray them with plenty wd40 a few days prior to doing the job.

standard headers are fine to be wrapped. As 347uk says, lots of wd, or just brake the heat shields off like i did in the end nuts were shagjed.

And yes get them ported as with the up pipe.

Oh and before i forget get a good quality heat wrap, as i bought some and now its falling off.

ok thanks for the pointers, whats decent wrap to get? any advice on wrapping them? never done it before

Wet the wrap and wear gloves. If you don't you will regret it you'll itch for days
