Looking for the oil sender?
To buy a new one? To know what it looks like or to know where it is?
1. Dealer.
2. As above.
3. On the block just under/behind the alternator, one wire from it.

But is this a SUBARU engine?
If so, the sender can be seen THROUGH the fan belt, just behind the alternator on the block. it's quite obvious, there is one wire leading to it.

Hi thanks for that alcazar, and apologies for this reply a day late my internet went down yesterday.Anyway yes it is a Subaru engine its 1998 2 liter turbo ej20.I am obviously into my old beetles but this conversion is in my mind great as it gives me modern power and performance in one my favourite old cars.I am hoping to get some help and info on here re the engine please bare in mind I am no mechanic or expert but realy apreciate any help and advice.I am looking for the oil pressure sender, is this the one you have described as it seems to have two wires, then another sender to the left that seems to have a single wire. I am assuming that is the oil temp.I really need to get a manual downloaded.

The two you are describing are the water temperature senders, single wire for the gauge and twin wire to the ecu.

The oil pressure sender screws into the block DOWNWARDS, and is in front of those two. They screw in horizontally, the o/p sender vertically.
