sump nut washer??????

Default sump nut washer??????

hi probably a stupid question but where would i get a sump nut washer for my99 impreza turbo i already have the oil filter but cant for the life of me find a washer on its own halfrauds havent got them and its really bugging me please help as i need to do my oil change

i tried my local motor factors and they dont have 1

<pedant's corner> It's not a copper washer, it's a laminated steel one. </pedant's corner>

..and speaking of which, I don't religiously replace them every time I change the oil, and I've yet to see one leak. Unless the one you've taken off is rusted up and manky, there shouldn't be a downside to using it again.

same here i run my own garage and service plenty of subaru's don't need to change it every time , if your really struggling order one from scooby world, next day delivery

I have seen them in Halfords for sale but also if you buy a genuine Subaru oil filter you get one with it.

Dead easy take your old one off,and rotate it 180 degrees(turn it upside down)then fit it as before,picked this tip up from a cosworth mechanic 20 yrs ago,never had one leak yet.
Unless the one you have is shagged ,then its order one from subaru uk ,over the phone.
