Default One for the mappers or the mapped

So, am wanting to get my 06 WRX mapped later this year however am not really bothered about the bhp figure but do want to max the torque what mods do I need to complete before mapping.

Current status
TSL Group N back box
bespoke center (No resonator)
Cobra 2nd decat
Walbro 255L fuel pump
KnN panel filter
Lightweight pulleys

You can have it mapped as it is, and the torque is fabulous, as in another 100 lbs ft..

With similar mods mine made 284bhp and 350lbs/ft torque. (Mapped by JGM)

I have a full decat from the turbo back

I think a decat down pipe is needed dont think I dare fit it till mapping time though.

Has it transformed yours as much as everyone says it will

I fitted mine about 2 weeks before the mapping but stayed off boost.

Yeh it did make a big difference!! Boost comes in lower in the range and pulls hard up to 6k then tails off. 5th gear on them before was very poor for overtaking now its incredible. On the motorway no need to change down.
To me its the perfect everyday road car !! A couple of guys here in NI have also changed to a bigger turbo TD5 and they are seriously quick but puts the gearbox, clutch etc near the limit. I am more than happy with the way mine goes as she sits.

Have you any suspension mods done to yours / brakes etc?

Sounds great, cant wait to get mine done now. Brakes drilled and grooved discs Mintex 1144 pads. Sti springs.

Who was your mapper?
