Default Anyone used UFI oil filters?

As supplied in a certain package deal.

I have allways used a genuine subaru one but the price difference is quite tempting.

TIA Jonny

Subaru do not manufacturer their own filters, they are made by other companies like UFI

in this case I believe the OEM Subaru ones are Puralator

don't worry what you read on a Fiat forum

On the Impreza the filter hangs vertically down so a non return valve is not needed (unless, of course, you roll the car!) I've been using them for a while and they're fine, plus they are larger than the Subaru item.

Of course it does John, that makes sense. I have ordered one anyway. I am quite lucky in that I have a Subaru garage 3 miles away. However I am not willing to pay over £7 more for essentially the same Item Just because Its branded Subaru. In the 3 years I have owned the car I have seen the genuine filters go from circa £6 To over £14. Not on IMO.
