Hi all

I have just had my hyperflow FMIC fitted to my 06 spec C and wondered if its worth fitting some protective mesh in front on the intercooler to help minimize dents from stones etc.

Can you get the same grill as the RB320 ? I believe this is a dealer part but can not find it on the Subaru parts list

You can get all sorts of different sized plastic or metal meshes from eBay car styling vendors. Can get diamond/honeycomb/circles holed grilles, etc, etc.

Do a search - you'll be amazed at the choice...

Halfords do a nice diamond-hole grille in black (or silver) - Skullfudge has it fitted in his P1's bumper. API also fit this grille mesh on their FMIC conversions (if the customer want it, that is)...

I used 6mm x 6mm mesh painted body colour, its more of a factory look than a hacked bumper/cooler combo that looks half done...............

Its cheap to buy too.

I bought a black plastic mesh that has large(ish) honeycomb shaped holes - the honeycomb's style/scale all but matches the OEM black honeycomb insert to the MY99/00 radiator grille I have fitted.

Should look mint and "factory" when I get my FMIC and other mods all fitted and mapped...
