Default steaming radiadtor?

hi, washed the car this morning and drove round the back to put in garage to give a good polish, as soon as i had parked it up water was gushing out of the bottom , so i open up the top off the radiator and refilled it up with water ,was pumping the top hoses in cases of any airlock etc started car up and was getting hot really fast so kept checking water levels and seemed ok , now i had notice that the coolent tank on the side of radiator was still full and hadn`t changed in levels so left it to cool down for an hour or so and when i went back out level were ok , started car and now temp gauge is reading about half way but the radiator seems to be steaming from the left hand side , does this mean radiator is knackerd ? sorry from the long thread

Not sure on newage cars but the classic ones suffered from the plastic ends splitting.
