Default Have I done the right thing???

The solid hose under my slanty cooler split on the turbo end so I decided to replace it with a silicone one :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IMPREZA-WRX-GC...item4cebd3aa0c

I sawed through the existing hose on the Intercooler end, filed the edge smooth and slipped this hose over and jubilee cliped it up reall tight with about an inch and a half overlap.
Other end onto the turbo and Dumpvalve into the required place.
Can anyone forsee any probs with this??
I have to say the car is shedloads more reponsive after doing this.
I get rather worried when things go well these days!!
