or send your old one to API and have it re-conditioned with the PRV mod and receive it back painted red, dont forget you will also need a new modine.

i couldn't tell how much one costs but i think around £100 exchange springs to mind,

this is the modine it is oil cooler and is 100% necessary if you have had bearing failure, not cheap either although sometimes you can pick them up unused from e-bay,

As your engine builder said any 10mm pump with a modified Pressure Relief Valve (PRV).

These can be had from:

Lateral Performance
API
Graham Goode
RCM

Just ring around mate and i'm sure someone will sort you out....

for the sake of a few quid i wouldn't use a second hand oil pump you just cant trust it to be in good order, i dont think the api ones are that much more new.

i believe they come in 8 10 11 12mm

forget about the 8mm, the 10mm was fitted to classics and i think non avcs newage wrx's and and the 11/12mm were fitted to the new age sti's fitted with avcs heads, although i could be be wrong on the sizes for new ages weather they are 11 or 12mm, your best bet is to ring David at api as he will know better.

Its strange that your engine builder insisted you get an uprated oil pump but did not mention the modine!

Indeed the modine should be replaced especially if the engine suffered a failure not doing so could result in another expensive rebuild. Speak to your engine builderand ensure this is replaced.
