Looking too see roughly how much BHP can be pushed out of a 20G...

Figures & Supporting Mods will be useful...

Thanks

About 380bhp on normal fuel. Thats what my 2.5 makes anyway.

550cc injectors should be enough. Uprated gearbox unless your willing to take a chance.

I guess you have forged pistons in your 2.5? Otherwise the standard items are weak.

As above, 550s are perfect.

Gearbox will be weak link - temper your launches/gear changes (unless you already treat it with respect, of course. ).

419.5 on a warm day with 10% meth on 2l , for some reason the 2.5 just don't make the same power. When it went on my 2.5 it made 407/435 and that was a nice spec for the road anymore power and I think it's mental for the road.

400 bhp + is possible on V power if you run the correct cams.

All the above results highlight the hit or miss nature of the 20g. ........... I have one to fit too LOL

You need to run reprofiled cams on classics along with good charge temps in order to break 400bhp on pump fuel.

True they are hit and miss but as long as its Harvey or AFP you have a chance. At least it wont fall apart like EBAY ones!

That's it mate - if you expect 380 (on 550s), then you should be okay.

Regard anything more as a bonus...

That's it. Only buy AF or harvey jobs - a known quantity.

A 2.5 litre on a 20g goes really well and 380bhp should keep you happy for a few weeks.

Are you using a 3" turbo back exhaust system?
