Strangely, there was an item on Watchdog this week about how you need a laptop/PC, software and cable to alter digital odometers (it's what unscrupulous dealers use obviously).

Obviously WD didn't disclose the software/procedure...

thanks

I would not like to buy a car that has had thousands knocked of, Hence why i am having it PUT back to what it was, + all the recipts have the milage in inc the last timing so just want to keep it all in line with its history

Anyway it has all been sorted not and thanks to a top fella called Mike, It's all perfect again now

Cool that it's back to original mileage.

And I agree with you about unwittingly buying a clocked car

i just don't see the point in spoiling the history of the car, Hence if i did have say 20k knocked of i would have to loose 20k worth of history and recipts,

I have always been a fella to have a file and save every recipts, tax disc, mots everything to do with the cars and shall continue with thisone as well...

Got the milage put back on for a good price as well, only took a few seconds as well lol

Totally. There's a 'satisfaction' to be had in keeping every possible receipt/invoice for work done on cars, isn't there?

It can only help in selling it on, as it shows are fastidious and really care with its upkeep, etc...
