Default WHAT CAN CAUSE................

ok i sold my rebuilt engine to a guy local to me coz his head gasket was gone.

i took his engine out and it was running, fitted my engine and it ran fine until he blew it up at 140mph

any way i replaced his headgaskets from his originl engine and refitted it.

now the car wont start, i've narrowed it down to the spark. no spark on the rear and i got a really weak one from the front but not anymore.

so basically it has no spark. what can be the cause of this?

i really need help fast as i need this car runnin tomorrow, he has it booked in at andy forrest on the 4th

cheers lads

Crank sensor (controls spark/fuel) put back on properly/knackered ?

Or cam sensor (crank sensor can't do its thang if cam sensor's not working).

Ignition amplifier(sp?)

I take it you tested the Coils/packs/plugs I had a split in my coil pack on my V3 which cased some of the spark to escape (surprising how much of a shock you can get from one of these lol)

ok its not the cam sensor, crank sensor, knock sensor, fuses, relays, earths, timing or wiring blocks beside battery, there is 12v at all 4 coils, 3 coils spark but very poorly and the rear left cylinder has squat.

with 3 cylinders sparking the car would still start but this one wont so i'm guessing the spark isnt strong enough

what can it be??? i need it running like now lol

where is the ignition amplifier?

Next to the boost solenoid is what sits on drivers side suspension strut, map sensor & ignition amplifier

it takes logic level volatage from the ecu and amplifies to a voltage suitable for the coil pack input.

Dunk, what does the ign amplifier actually physically look like? Any pics?

Is this item also referred to as the "ignitor"?

Hmm hard to describe it as I havent seen my car for months, it sits on the front side (on the V3's anyway) of the suspension turret on a bracket with a plug from the loom going into it, sorry no pics
