Default faint missfire on tick over?

hi bit of weird one here,on tick over my 2000 uk classic seems to have a slight missfire,is fine driving but wen u get to a junction it makes car feel abit jumpy, sometimes worse than others, have put new plugs in and no differance, then thought it was coil so got a second hand one of ebay but does same as mine which is with engine runnin, usin plyers i pulled off each ht lead from coil end and the top left didnt make any differance and dont seem to spark like all the others do,anyone who has read this far got any ideas or come across this?

cheers

Have you tried swapping one of the leads over, and seeing if the 'dead' spark moves to a different cylinder?

i wouldnt worry to much. I know mine only does it slightly and all is well with it. Or is yours more noticeable. I think in idle its trying to keep engine at right revs and sometimes does up a little someone will come a long to explain better then me.

Mine has always done it on rare occasions very faintly but worse when hot in hot weather. New plugs didn't help mine. Think it just runs a leanish idle and spark has a hard time igniting the lean mixture.
