If everyone followed that line of logic then the forum would quickly become a total mess as every Sam, Dick or Larry posted their non-relevant questions here because they "needed a quick answer". Under those circumstances the people most likely to provide said answer will get ticked off and go elsewhere so in the end you'll be the one who loses.

And it's not as though we're talking a matter of (engine) life and death here, so you didn't need a quick answer at all, you were just being a bit sly/lazy. Having the p*ss taken gently was what you got in response.

Yeah I knew why you were asking when I replied the first time. I replied to your post t'other day remember.

An eBay auction ain't a matter of life and death on a technical forum, someone's engine doing something weird is.

Guess you'll be hoping that the next time you need urgent help with a genuine technical problem, there aren't too many inconsiderate so and so's filling the board full of non-relevant threads in the hope of a quick answer.

I changed my post because after i typed it i though i was being unfair, i admitted i was in the wrong, and i stated that i though your attitude towards me was rude and I still do.

And I wasn’t intentionally taking the “****” out the forum. It didn’t cross my mind that it would be disrespectful.
