Default inter-cooler pipe off

my car broke on the strip. running ****e, 2 cylinders, stalling ect

after some red herrings, ive found a pipe off the fmic behind the bumper

now question is, it obv popped off at full chat when on the strip, is the probability a fcked engine?

also ive tried to drive it, let it idle ect for a while in this state.

im hoping when ive tried to rev, its fulled ok - as the plugs are black, so hopefully not ran lean and melted anything,
my oil pressure gauge was still reading normal.

or am i just kidding myself?

94 v1 sti

cheers

just trying to prepare myself if its pretty inevitable that the engines fcked.

mate, I bet if you reconnect the pipe it will run fine,
pipes blow off occasionally, jubliee clips loosen/ break, I had it on my impreza, pipe blew right off, got home, re fitted the pipe new jubliee clip, right as rain.

The pipe being disconnected is almost certainly the cause of the poor running, and will probably be causing the engine to run lean.
The MAF sensor (just after air filter) tells the ECU how much air is flowing in, so that it can (with measurements from other sensors) add the correct amount of fuel. As your intercooler pipe is disconnected a large amount of unmeasured air is being drawn in differing from what the Maf is reporting to the ECU.

Dont run the engine again untill you have reconnected the pipe, and hopefully no damage has been caused to the engine while it was run in that state.

As others have said, a loose or failed jubilee clip is probably the cause of the pipe being blown off.
