EML on at 4k revs????

Hi,
Got A 2001 y WRX on acceleration @4000 rpm engine light comes on and it goes into limp mode.
Any ideas? seems MAF is quite a popular fault

maf 02sensor or just overboosting . get her to a scoob specialist plug in problem solved computer does the hard work
