i have a set of 850cc can these be used in the on a stand map for a couple days without damage to my new engine?

having it mapped by JGM on the 25th but my injectors can only be fitted on the 23rd.

Personally I'd say no - defo don't drive it!

Can you NOT drive the car until after Simon maps it then?... Taxi? Train? Bus? Hire car?....... Penny Farthing? LOL

 

dont have to use it i guess. however if i cant get it to run how will simon be able to map it??

 

I wasn't being "literal" - just that unscaled 850s (if replacing, say, 550s or less) would be a bugger to try to run, I believe.

Simon, I think, has to roughly scale the injectors first in his map on his laptop, to get them to run acceptably, then he goes to town and works his magic.....

No! You will be dumping fuel into your engine, and then your ringlands won't sit properly. Do not drive your car until it has been remapped!

 

Si can do it for you if you ask him mate.

Also maybe worth getting some new o-rings for the injectors to seal correctly.
