What is the max power people have had out of standard WRX newage heads?

Mine where running 584bhp but im not sure if there are standard,i have'nt changed them tho

584?!!!! :

You sure they're not STi AVCS ones with, perhaps, aftermarket high-lift cams?! (or are the WRX ones AVCS too? )

I could'nt tell you mate as its something i have'nt looked at,When the engine lets go i will know more

WRX are not avcs

think 584 is optimistic on standard heads lol. think you have had some head work mate

I'm running 403 BHP on standard Bugeye WRX heads / non AVCS with the TGV's still in place..........a touch of methanol injection does help

Iv just fitted a gt35 hybrid which is being mapped on monday,so that should be fun That might be when the engine gives up lol

The AVCS heads were added to the WRX when it moved to 2.5 litre I think, a standard bugeye WRX wouldn't have them

Any tuners on here know the correct limits?

I was hoping 430-450 would be achievable.

Im pretty sure JDM Bugeye WRX had AVCS heads.
