Default Car Starts and Revs stright up to 3.5k

Hi all,

Two days ago i decided to change the inlet mainifold on my car to a refurbished one. i also changed all the water pipes with samco ones and refitted my Anyway to cut the story a bit short. i connected everything up the way its supposed to be and now when i start the car its revs stright up to 3.5k. i cant find any air leaks anywhere. i have tried to play around with the idle control valve to see if that would make a difference but nothing. i also also tried to adjust the accelerater cable but that made no difference. so im stumped at what it can be.

My car is a v3 sti type ra with a 2.5 engine and 20g turbo.

Any help or idea whould be apprieciated.

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure its not the accelerater cable as i had a similar problem on my previous V3, it turned out to be the cable. Also have you tried disconnecting the battery?

tried everything. its not the accellerator cable. checked all the wiring. all the earthing points. cant find any air leaks. im sure their must be someone on here that has changed their manifold and maybe had a similar issue.

Double check it. Im only saying this because mine got stuck towards the bulk head where it runs into. Then as i started my car it straight away revved to 3,000rpm. The thing is it looks like its normal but it can get stuck towards the bulk head.

Are you free tomorrow? If so i can come down & have a fiddle with it.
