Default Radiator

My radiator has started to leak in the bottom corner, just wondering, should I switch it for another standard one, or go for a bigger ali one?

It's 1997 uk turbo running 305 bhp

Thanks

I've heard horror stories that some cheap all-ally ones can warp alarmingly.

There's a chap on eBay that sells OEM patten ones for around £60 dleivered and a lot of people have bought 'em and are happy. He offers a 12 month guarantee and next working day delivery. it has the plastic endtanks a la OEM, but they don't go brittle till after 10+ years anyway...

i fitted the one in the link above & seems to be working fine, i did have to modify it slightly as it only had the one top support hole & i would recommend using new fan screws

I'm sure that's the one I have used. All I did was unbolt the top rail from the old rad and fit it to the replacement. Everything else was good.

As above, new bolts probably required. A wire brush and a can of black hammerite would also be a good idea as the base of the fan cowls tend to be a bit rusty. Saves them for another 10 years LOL

About 10 minutes work m8 - remove the undertray, undo a couple of electrical connectors, undo the two bolts holding the rad supports in then a few hose clips and you're done
