Default Whirring sound

Sounds like its coming from behind dash, increases and decreases depending on engine speed??? Any ideas. Thanks.

its probably not this> but my wagon was doing a similar thing even when going in straight lines e.g motorway... but it was coming from power steering pump.

i can still hear it a bit now but since ive re-filled the power steering its almost gone

I am getting a similar sounding noise, does it stop if you touch the clutch pedal? Thrust bearing perhaps, that's what mine is

Another vote for checking power steering fluid, I have a slight leak on mine and over time it becomes noisy. Once topped up and bled the noise goes away.
