Default Silly But Honest Sports Cat Downpipe Exhaust Question

As most of you know i have a 02 Bugeye with a Ninja Back Box, After Burner Cat Pipe (non Res) and After Burner Centre Section. If i were to fit this..... Ninja Downpipe With Fast Flow Cat (WITHOUT A REMAP), WOULD IT AFFECT/DAMAGE MY CAR.

Cars Running 244bhp & 248lb T

Impreza Turbo 2001-2005 New Age : Subaru Impreza Ninja Downpipe with Fast Flow 100 Cell Sports Cat

Can't afford a Remap + Anti-Lag yet With Race Dynamix (Duncan)

Thing is i'd rather WAIT and NOT have it THAN KNACKER MY CAR UP

Really did want a Full Decat but a friend of mine (Non Scooby) got pulled by the VOSA and tested his Car. I know it's its a long shot, BUT YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW MY LOOK

Hoping afew Mechanics might post up.

Cheer's guys, Craig

You would still need a remap mate.

Your management light is bound to come on with error code 0420.

Nothing qrong with Sports cats mate. I'm running over 400bhp on my sports cat.

Yes mate. 400bhp. Some other cars on 2.5 engines make more with sports cats.

Not all Sport cats can take it so bare that in mind mate. Not sure who makes the Ninja sports cat but I thought it was H&S ?

Sports cat prior to remap I noticed it spooled approx 400/350 RPM quicker.

I run a RCM sports cat on a 3" system. So take that into account too.

Sports cats worth taking into account from what I have used are.

Prodrive
Milltek
RCM

Hope that helps mate.

also mate with regards to the testing on your mates car, i find it depends what time your out driving, during the day, fair enough, never had any problems with my decatted exhaust and its loudness which is over 100 decibles.

if your going out when its dark and going to be in late, whack the bung in, it'll save the hassle. in my area they tend to pick on people after dark.

it's a de-cat up pipe you want to change (in my opinion) then a remap.

at 244bhp already is it worth the expense though ?

depending what goal you have, currently your turbo and injectors won't give you huge amounts of gain maybe around 30bhp extra so factor the price of pipe and map is it really worth it.

could always try open source mapping though that tends to be a lot cheaper.

I spoke to Rik @ Taylor Motors about An Upipe Phil. He said (if i remember) thats only worth doing if you want 300bhp + and change the Injectors. 270-280bhp with Anti-Lag will do me fine for weekends.

Don't get me wrong Phil. I'd love your power and spec 424bhp (if thats right mate) just not got the money or the time. Plus Mrs would kill me

Were talking about starting a family soon. Hence getting the car done before
