fuel presure

Default fuel presure

The fuel presure on my gauge drops to zero when the engine is switch off is this normal or should it retain the presure.

It should hold the pressure for a while.

Am not sure if there is a anti-syphon valve in the pump or if the fuel pressure regulator maybe leaking past. Hope it is not the injectors as this would wash any oil off the bores resulting in excessive wear.

mine takes a good while to drop down.does yours drop instantly then?

as soon as you switch the car off it drops instantly

Is it electrical?
If so, maybe it is wired to a circuit that is only live when ignition is on.

no its not been like it for 6 months might just take it off its driving me mad.
