I think the VF22 a sub 340bhp.... but it's supposed to be laggy!

The 16g is a perfect candidate for 320-340, and is strong and not too laggy. Spools up at c.3500rpm.

Have you thought about the VF35. Roller bearing and capable of 360. Will cost more than the 16g (if you can find one!) but the bearing's allow it to spool pretty early for a 360-capable turbo.

Or there's the VF35 - same comp side as the 34 but has a smaller hot side, and it has a normal thrust bearing. Slightly quicker spool than the 34 (due to the smaller hotside) and a 340-50 top end.

The 34 and 35 quicker spooling than the 16g...

If you'd be happy at no more than 340... then if it were me, I'd go for the 35.....
