Default Big thanks to Harvey and JGM

Had the car remapped on the 12th Jan with the APS SR40 Turbo and Pink injectors, as you guys know it was a tad on the laggy side so after the fitting of a new clutch and Havery Smith ported and wrapped headers and up-pipe at Subaru4you followed by a day at C.J's fitting the Spec-C manifold, Samco inlet and Perrin Parallel fuel rails it was back to Surrey Rolling Road and an appointment with JGM, to say it went well is an understatement!

For interest an overlay of the boost plots, I reckon I gained about 300rpm of spool.

I have used both Simon and Harvey and indeed they are both great. However your car still looks very laggy for a 370 bhp car. I guess that is down to turbo and lack of avcs. My car made more power and spooled up over 1000 revs quicker than yours. However as long as you happy with it thats the main thing.

The APS turbos are notoriously laggy but 370BHp and 30Mpg around town is very appealing on a daily driver

Nah, as the boost only really gets going at around 4K it's so easy to drive off boost, add to that a great map and it returns really good economy - A mate has the same turbo on his STi and although he has less power he gets the same economy!

I dont understand people who modify a Subaru then go on about mpg and fuel economy?
The best fuel economy is a standard car with a remap, that is the best mpg you will ever get. LOL
I just dont get it! My 03 WRX is supposed to be around 340 bhp and 357 ib/ft and the mpg is the last thing on my mind when i spent thousands modifying it!
Nice result though for you and enjoy it!

I can get 30mpg but I rarely do, trust me - the mods were all done for power and driveability, the mpg was a suprising by-product!

Big power doesnt mean in normal driving it has to use lots of fuel.

I hadnt realised boost was so similar level to previous mapper.
Turbo not ideal but surprizingly nice to drive

Thats good news simon as your mapping the car on this coming wednsday buddy, and as mine is a daily driver i was worried about the cost of all the fuel it would use after the map,not so now.

Trying to sort myself out a shift light - as the power doesn't tail off at the redline and I get there bloody quick now the rev limiter has had a bit of a work out!

As for the boost I was too - thought there would be a lot more, the overlay is not 100% accurate as it's a photoshop job but will be pretty close, guess as Charlie said there could have been a bad tank of gas in it?

looking at your dyno thats exactly what i was going to say i used to have a hybrid vf22 on an old classic years back that was similar and did not tail off although your torque does it does not take long to distroy your gearbox very high rpm (dep on driving style of course)

I've ordered an omex sequential shiftlight from Rallynuts, anybody know which wire is the rev counter feed and where's the easiest place to pick it up.
