hybrid should be ok as far as i know, there are plenty of big builds running them on here.

as for th epump for 500bhp i would suggest a bosch 044 with a fuel pressure regulator and that should do the job

just my opinion i may be wrong

good luck. are you doing all the work yourself? are you buying your stuff from ebay? a good solid reliable genuine 500hp car will cost you a helluva lot more that £12k mate, trust me

Ask anyone who has a tried and tested 500hp car how much it cost them really. you can bet that not one will be anywhere near £12K.

Q1) Yes. 600 or 700 bhp and there are examples actually doing that.
Q2) No. As advised you need a Bosche 044 Motorsport.
Be careful. There are several Bosche 044 as that is only the frame number. There is a six bar version and an 8 or 10 bar version.
You need to check what pressure you need which is related to your maximum boost pressure with a little headroom and then consult the technical data to ensure you have the required flow at that pressure.

Hybrid FMICs ex stock for next day delivery.

6 speed £2.5k plus fitting. Clutch exedy twin £1.5K plus fitting. does the gearbox come with all the bits including hubs, half shafts, diffs etc?

there is another 4K in parts alone. you will be lucky to get a complete 6 speed drive train for 2.5K. soon mounts up my friend, and seriously, i dont want to **** on your parade but i want you to go into this with your eyes open to the cost that seriously modding your pride and joy will be. at this rate of tune there are no shortcuts. the bad thing is if you beef up the engine the gearbox needs done, then the brakes need done, then the fuelling needs uprated, then the ecu needs done, then you need to upgrade the ignition system the list goes on.

the problem is you really need to do this all at once so your £12k is starting to look closer to £20K. do you see the problem.

right im not going for 500bhp i was asking if these parts were capable of 500hp so that i know i wont be pushing them to the limit,

the 12k is for the engine alone not running gear, brakes or coilovers, i havnt said anything about these thing in this thread apart from i will prob be running a 6 speed and not a PPG box

here is the spec of engine that will be getting build for me some time at the end of this year or even start of next year ( so i have atleast 8 months to look into what parts to use and what would be best for my car)

this car is also 100% road car no track no drag racing road only

my car will be sent alan jeffery (enginetuner) for the new engine: just copyed over the email he sent

closed deck block
Fully built 2.1 engine installed using the following;
New nitrided 2.5 crank
Wiseco pistons
K1 H beam rods
Cosworth engine bearings, head gaskets and sump baffle plate
RCM oil pump
ARP head stud kit
Fully overhauled heads with new guides.
New cam belt
We use stress plates for boring and honing.
We strip the blocks, including the gallery plugs and chemically clean.
We balance the assemblies.
We paint the engine.
We wash the engine bay.
The price includes remove and refit, two oil and filter changes and the first 50 miles of running in.

S206 turbo and downpipe

Simtek inc launch and anti lag

and supporting mods will be;

hks manifold and up pipe
hybrid Fmic
740cc injectors (unsure what make to go for?)
carl davey fuel rails
Aeromotive FPR
mocal oil cooler
blitz nur spec R
apexi air filter
Bosch 044 fuel filter

that setup will make high 400s easy

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
il be fitting the supporting mods so that engine tuner can just take the engine out and engine back in without messing around with other parts aswell

that setup will cost me just under £10000 all new and fitted, running multi maps

that leaves me £2000 for boost controller, gauges, samcos, uprate plugs and leads ect ect

i get a bonus from work at the start of next year when i will be thru my apprenticeship which will be spent on uprated brakes and coilovers,

i will be looking in to a gear box setup but just not atm iv got plenty of time yet

i understand you prob here "im looking for 500bhp" every other day

2.1 stroker with a CDB. you will be happy with that. you seem to have done your homework. yes we get a few dreamers on here who always end up disappointed when they find out the cost of a really fast car.

There is no need for a CDB at this power level.

Looks like a good spec build.

Hybrid FMICs are very capable and used on many big builds.

yeah they have had some great results from there 2.1 engine with the s206 and simtek ( and its a great price aswell) so it would be stupid not to go for one,

only down fall is that i live 628 miles from them but i think it will be worth the two 1200 mile trips to get that enigne in my car

£40K for 500bhp

It can be done for half that and still be reliable

Good luck with your build mate
