losing boost
morning all, i have fitted a aftermarket dv to my type r. now when driving it normally ishe is fine and i can just about here the valve releasing to the air not to loud, just about right. but when iam boosting it, i loose boost when changing gears so i take my foot of the gas i hear the dv, change gears and when i reapply the gas i can hear the dv relesing more air......any idea why this is and how i can fix it or do i just need to buy a new dv....i thought the dv would only release the air when i take my foot of the gas???

yes i fitted the gasket nice and secure. i think you might be right about the dv sticking open, its a baileys dv i bought of here, can it be adjusted maybe?? or some WD40?? or do i have to puth my hand back in my pocket and get a new one?? lol

If there was nothing wrong with the valve you took off, no, you don't have to dip back in your pocket. Just refit the standard one.
