Is there any secret to getting a bigish turbo mounted in standard postition to spool up quicker? cheers.

Get one with the new lighter billet wheel, What do you class as a big turbo and what do you class lag at?

And? 2.0, 2.5 or something else? What exhaust manifold and ECU are you using? What does your mapper have to say on the subject?

My MD321V running 550bhp gets 2 bar of boost at 3000rpm if I want (I tone it down now to make it easier to drive on the road) and will hold that to 7000 on a 2.5 with AVCS.

Lots can be done to improve spool up but ultimately the laws of physics apply. A good efficient turbo helps though
