Default GEMS ECU ADVICE PLEASE....

ive got a gems ecu lying around for a classic and has the grey 3 plug connection. is there anyone that can convert it or a plug to the 4 plug yellow connection for my classic. the ecu is awesome and has launch control, anti lag, the works.... and i really want it on this car.

Not worth the hassle.
Unfortunatly they arent that great anymore.
Simtek and solaris much better.
I did a tarmac rally car which had one fitted this week, it works dont get me wrong but would have been much nicer on simtek or solaris.
Assuming road use then even more important it drives nice.
Sell it and have a simtek fitted and mapped.
Cost wont be much different by the time you have converted it and paid for mapping.

The 3 plug ECU also can only drive a stepper motor ABV and is not compatible with the earlier classic "push-pull" ABV....

The Gems cannot be converted. Sell it as advised above. It will be of particular interest to those involved in rallying.

is a grey 3 plug the same has a yellow 3 plug?

True, I had assumed it was a 97/98 3plug

I've got the 97/98 3 pin yellow plug as I've just gone simtek. What are these GEMS worth please JGM? Thanks.

Seen them sell for 500 and struggle at 400.
Not much moving at mo
