Engine light on and no power

Car sounds and drives fine until I try putting my foot down the the car judders and the engine light is on.
Car is a 1995 wrx no engine mods just z4 ecu and 3" exhaust.

Read the ecu codes - use the search facility on here to find out how it's done

First thing to do then is look up the black plugs read memory procedure and see what the CEL flash code(s) are.
