Exclamation BOOST LEVEL ADVICE !

Well i bought my wrx 1995 import about 5 months ago. Its been very well looked after, got 69000 on the clock had new cam belt ect. It runs very well no knocking does not use any oil or water. The car does not hold back in any gears at all and done 130 in it pulling well ! It has always boosted at just over 0.5 on my greedy gauge and never faulted the lad said it always had boosted at this while he had had it, I have found out today this is not right and should be boosting at around 0.9 standard! any advice would be appriciated. I am going to have a look at the ecu tomorrow to see which i have on and maybe try a reset.
thanks bry

If its pulling like a train and your happy with it leave the boost as it is
If your still concerned talk to a mapper who might be able to give you a map tweak or just some good advice

How accurate is your gauge though?

If the gauge's resolution is low and it has a 'fat' needle, there may not be much of an indicated difference between 0.7 and 0.9, if you get my drift...

Also, because you're accelerating, then presumably - nay, hopefully! - you're actually looking ahead and concentrating? You might not realise that it could be peaking to 0.9bar, etc...

You ideally need access to some kind of data logger to be certain...

i wouldnt worry about this, my boost gauge that was in my 95 import read similar to yours since i have changed to Prosport gauges it correctly reads 0.8bar

as already said if it pulls well already then leave it be
