Default Sweet baby Jesus, there is a fuel light afterall!

Having ran my bugeye wrx fairly low on more than one occasion, only this week have I noticed that there is a fuel light, which brings me to my question. How much fuel is actually left by the time the light comes on, as it is bloody low already on the needle front.
Ive already had a quick search btw.

Having done this loads of times, i finally let the fukca run out!!! What a tw@t i was, and only 1 min walk from the petrol station too. LOL
Anyway, i digress, once the light comes on, you have NO more than 50 miles before you will run out and stall. I have done 30 miles loads of times as there is room for that, but trust me on the 50 miles figure.

Sounds about right, a couple of gallons.

Mine's just come on, but it can wait.

don't do it lads, use the quater tank level as empty, otherwise you are going to risk sucking up all the dreggs and blocking filters and causing untold misseries.

Never let my car even get to 1/4 of a tank as I couldn't be assed with the hassle of running out. Can never understand why folk persistantly play Russian Roulette with their petrol gauges.

yes, but the majority of the crud floats on the top...

So as the level of fuel goes down, so does the light crud...
